Nobody in the building would have guessed it was Freddy Marrero's first fight.
Five eleven and originally from Brown Mills, New Jersey, Marrero fights out of 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu Orange Park in a Muay Thai orthodox stance. He walked into Tallahassee at 0-0 and walked out with a unanimous decision over Brenden Vargas in a 145 pound kickboxing bout. The commentary booth only worked out it was his debut by checking the card.
I would have never guessed first fight if I didn't see it on his card.
